It becomes easier to remember due to that familiarity, or because it makes a little piece of data “bigger,” and thus more “important” to your brain. The concept of mnemonics is simply: association: to connect something (usually more familiar) to what you’re trying to remember. Let me reinforce this point: don’t be afraid of the word mnemonics. As I’ve mentioned in other topics, mnemonics is a great way to learn anything that could use the benefit of associations.
